Hello.
I have a network drive mapped to letter Z: everything works fine, no disconnects while computer is running, however once computer went to sleep mode and a window with mapped drive left opened (Z:\blah\), after wake up the window is blank and a popup showing
(sometimes two or even five same popups showing at the same time!) saying:
Restoring Network ConnectionsAn error occur while reconnecting Z: to
\\remotecomputer\blah
Microsoft Windows Network: The local device name is already in use.
This connection has not been restored.
And another popup usually there too:
Location is not available
Z:\ is not accessible.
The specified network name is no longer available.
Closing popups and refreshing window reconnects to the network drive just fine. I wouldn't care about it as much as if I didn't have to close these popups, I normally have 10 windows opened and all of them receive several such popups - is just unacceptable
annoying.
I've already tried disable all power related settings under the network adapter, nothing helped.
Any solutions for this nonsense?
Thank you.

I'm having this same problem after I upgraded to Windows 8. The hotfix posted is for Windows 7 so is there a solution for Windows 8?
